Phonica Records In-Store Event

Sova Audio collaborated with one of London's favourite record shops - Phonica on delivering a series of in-store events. The "vinyl emporium" in the heart of Soho hosted the legendary Louie Vega, Nightmares on Wax, DJ Harvey, Ellen Allien as well as up and coming artists such as Bicep, Peggy Gou and Lena Willikens.

Main sound system: 2 x Funktion One BR118 (bass), 6 x F81(mid-highs), Linea Research 48M10 amplifier. Monitors: F1201  

Challenge I: Limited setup time in between store closing doors to customers and the start of the event. Solution: All the equipment is configured and tested at a "dress rehearsal" at our warehouse before delivery, ensuring smooth setup and no room for mistakes or confusion.

Challenge II: Delivering premium audio to an audience of music aficionados in a residential area with strict noise restrictions. Solution: Careful system design and product selection is the key to keeping both the ravers and their neighbours happy. A monoblock of two bass reflex cabinets in the middle of the room delivers effortless, deep, nearfield bass, while the 6-point distributed mid-high loudspeakers provide smooth coverage across the entire venue eliminating the need for excessive sound levels.
